Creatures in the Attic by Brian Balmages
A fun, jaunty tune, Creatures in the Attic shows us what really happens when the lights go out and things go bump in the
night. Hear the discordant "bumps" as each student will pick a note for each creature!
The Tempest by Robert W. Smith
Listen as our clarinets foretell the coming of a storm! Make way! The melody spins and twirls around
our ensemble hitting the saxophonists, trumpets, and flutes before finishing in a crescendo of
power. To demonstrate the capabilities of our amazing ensemble, this piece will be mostly
unconducted.
Celtic Air and Dance, No. 2 by Michael Sweeney
With two traditional Irish tunes "Danny Boy" and "Down by the County Derry" we highlight two well
known themes that weave throughout the musical world. Can you tell which one is which? Listen as
the melody hops between different sections, giving everyone a chance to shine.
Dr. Rockenstein by Steve Hodges
A mix up happened in the lab! Dr. Frankenstein and Rock n' Roll meet up in this hilarious rendition of
In the Hall of the Mountain King (original by Grieg) featuring the saxes, flutes, clarinets, and
trumpets.

Song for Lyndsay by Andrew Boysen Jr.
A beautiful piece dedicated to his loving wife, Boysen has reimaged a piano score he wrote many
years ago. Sit back and close your eyes- the love between the two can almost be tasted in this warm
setting.
Hocus Pocus by James Syler
Trick or treat! Hocus Pocus takes the best of the holiday and distills it into a dance like piece with an off kilter feel and
special effects. Happy Halloween!
Persis by James Hosay
The story behind Persis is both sweet and salty! A man meets the love of his life on the streets of Persia, but cannot stay for
her as he is a wanted man. Woodwind and horn solos demonstrate the love between the pair but you can hear the soldiers
cries as they come on fast!
